A large hardwood of the southern and central coast and tablelands of New South Wales, eastern Victoria and north-eastern Tasmania.
Usually pale brown in colour, but sometimes pinkish. Texture medium. Grain often interlocked.
Not difficult to work with. Generally used for flooring, decking and handles.

Fire resistant rate: BAL29, which does not have to be subjected to fire retardant treatment.
